How to Practice Jal Neti
The practice of Jal Neti is simple and can be easily incorporated into your daily routine.
Here is a step-by-step guide to get you started:
1.Prepare Your Saline Solution: Mix one A.T.O. Health sinus rinse packet with 8 oz (240 ml) of warm, distilled, or previously boiled water in your neti pot. The water should be lukewarm, not too hot or too cold.
2.Position Yourself: Lean over a sink or basin and tilt your head to one side, so that your ear is facing the ceiling.
3.Insert the Spout: Gently insert the spout of the neti pot into your upper nostril, creating a comfortable seal.
4.Pour the Solution: Breathe through your mouth as you slowly pour the saline solution into your upper nostril. The solution will flow through your nasal passages and out of your lower nostril.
5.Repeat on the Other Side: Once the neti pot is empty, refill it and repeat the process on the other side.
6.Clear Your Nostrils: After you have finished, gently blow your nose to clear any remaining solution from your nasal passages.
